Welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year and a renewed congratulations for our community! AISPP had our very first graduating class this past June, and it was so exciting to be a part of. Our guest speaker, the gracious Ambassador Kang from the Australian Embassy, was inspiring to listen to. We thank our community for supporting us, but more importantly, for supporting their children when it has proven challenging with so many covid restrictions and remote learning. We focus on wearing masks inside still this year, but with our fingers crossed that life can continue to be a bit more normal out of doors.
Our community continues to grow with students of all ages, and we have crossed the 375 students at school threshold! When I arrived in Phnom Penh, we had less than 100 students, so this speaks loudly for the whole team, about how well we are doing. We have excellent teachers, engaged students, a strong support team behind the scenes, and a beautiful location to come to each day for learning and teaching. I am grateful to all at AISPP who pull together for the journey of continual improvement.
We welcome a new Primary Principal this year to our senior leadership team, and all of us are ready to continue the exciting challenge of whole school improvement and growth. This will be the focus of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visit booked for May 2023, later in this academic year.
We hope you have all recharged your batteries and had a lovely time with family and friends over the long (summer) break. We welcome you to the campus at any time to see our learning and teaching in action, and to enjoy our gorgeous grounds and facilities.
