Happy Australia Day AISPP!

Building a strong sense of community in schools is both important and achievable. Basic psychological needs of connection and belonging shape human motivation and have major implications for learning and development.

We bond with the people and institutions that help us satisfy our needs, which makes the creation of caring, inclusive, participatory communities for our students and families especially important.

A growing body of research confirms the benefits of building a sense of community in school. Students in schools with a strong sense of community are more likely to be academically motivated ; to act ethically and altruistically; to develop social and emotional competencies and to be well balanced.

Supportive relationships are the heart of the AISPP community. They enable students from diverse backgrounds to bring their personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences into the classroom. We aim to develop Supportive , positive and encouraging relationships to help parents take part in their children’s education.

Happy Australia Day to all at AISPP and all Australians at home and abroad. #education #community #school #australia
