Our school is sponsoring a unique music event that will raise your children’s awareness of classical and contemporary music for choir, piano, and Khmer traditional instruments. “Musica Felice” choir will be performing alongside the choir of “Light of Mercy” children’s home and “Khrsar” Music School artists on Sunday the 2nd June at 6.00 pm, in the Grand Ballroom of Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel.
The programme will include Camille Saint-Saens’ piano duet “Aquarium” (featured in the “Harry Potter” film), Georges Bizet’s “Habanera” from “Carmen” opera, Karl Jenkins’ “Adiemus” (featured in “The Lion King”) and Ennio Morricone’s famous soundtrack from the epic Italian Western film “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”.
The tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years old, and can be purchased from our Admissions office until Friday afternoon. This is a charity concert, so we strongly encourage you to participate as all the proceeds will be donated in support of the Khmer music school and the blind & deaf children from the “Light of Mercy” home (http://www.jscambodia.org/light-of-mercy-home-2/).
The ticket will also give you 10% discount on food and beverage in the Sofitel Restaurants and Bar after the event.
We hope to see many of you on Sunday!
