From the Secondary Principal
At the start of the 2021/22 academic year, we were very lucky to move into a brand new, custom-built Secondary Building containing state-of-the-art Design Technology, Visual Arts and Science laboratories. We have an international faculty who are knowledgeable, experienced and caring. We aim to provide pathways for each individual student to find success, not only at school but when they leave to study further or begin a career. The school is proud to be the only four-programme IB school and the only school in Cambodia to offer the Careers-related Programme (CP). This programme is an enticing option for students who want to take a more specialised pathway into areas such as art, design, engineering or hospitality. Small class sizes and student-teacher ratios mean that our teachers know every student and can tailor teaching and learning to individual needs and strengths. In 2021/22 we introduced Positive Education from the Geelong Grammar School in Australia. Positive Education focuses on specific skills that assist students to strengthen their relationships, build positive emotions, enhance personal resilience, promote mindfulness and encourage a healthy lifestyle. We are also building opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through a number of initiatives. It is an exciting time to be part of our AISPP community.
